Watha T. Daniel / Shaw Library Design Meeting
Monday, June 23, 2008 -- 6pm to 8pm
Interim Shaw Library – 945 Rhode Island Ave NW
On January 30, 2008, DC Public Library and the Board of Library Trustees unveiled design plans for the new Watha T. Daniel / Shaw Library. Community comments, suggestions, and concerns were voiced and for the most part recorded.
It now more than four months later and the Shaw community still does not know how the community suggestions were incorporated into the new design.
* What changes have the architects made? Come find out next Monday.
* Why haven't Shaw ANC Commissioners been invited by DC Public Library to participate in the development of your new Watha T. Daniel / Shaw library?
* Why hasn't DCPL outreached to seniors and children?
Community input does not seem to be a priority. Let's make it one!
Please be there with your friends.
