Design charettes help the communities, where civic and commercial projects are being built, to vision out what the building may look like and how it will fit with the neighborhood.
They are used in most cities around the nation... but not at all for any of DCPL's 2007-2009 library construction projects.
The Dynamos believes this is why neighbors announce their surprise and sometime dismay with new library designs when they are unveiled by DCPL for the first time publicly.
