Video: BOLT Meeting at Mount Pleasant Library

The first Board of Library Trustees (BOLT) meeting in 2008 was held on Wednesday, January 23, at the Mount Pleasant Library.

During the public comment period, DC residents asked many questions pertaining to the Benning Library transformation process. Some were answered, some were not. Those questions not satisfactorily answered include insight into when the private developer, City Interests, first started making offers for the Benning library property. Another was about the possibility of using the new Benning Library as a model for viable revenue generation using a public-private partnership.

Residents asking questions in this video are:
* Robin Diener, Director of the Library Renaissance Project
* Chris Otten, DC Library Dynamos
* Willette Seaward, Benning Library Dynamo and Benning Chess Club
