Oversight Hearing Report: DC Council Committee on Libraries, March 16, 2009

On Monday March 16, 2009, there was a hearing about DC's public libraries that lasted more than five hours. This is not unusual and shows the deep value libraries have in our communities.

This hearing was Chaired by Councilmember Harry "Tommy" Thomas (hthomas@dccouncil.us) with the support of the Libraries Committee clerk, Neil Rodgers (nrdogers@dccouncil.us) and is still accepting written testimony if you send an email to S. Angel Nix (snix@dccouncil.us). Unfortunately, no other Councilmembers appeared to hear witness testimony.
